Watch

My favourite watch doesn’t have a minute hand.

I don’t like to be in situations where minutes matter.

When hours (or, better, days) matter, you have focus. This is where the detailed work happens. You can’t create anything that matters a minute at a time.

When seconds matter you have action, and energy, and drama, along with an even more intense kind of focus. I used to create moments like this for a living; I still seek them out for fun.

The watch is a reminder to, where possible, avoid the space in the middle.
